KIM CHESS

Tell us about yourself: I am a mother of 3 (17,15, and 10). Which means being active is important. I love a good challenge and CrossFit satisfies that need. I am a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for health and wellness, physically and mentally. POFP keeps me well. I love the outdoors (running, biking, hiking, kayaking,  and swimming. I LOVE IT ALL!

What brought you to POFP CrossFit? I kept throwing out my back and Larry kept fixing me, but only short-term. CrossFit has allowed me to keep myself strong and able to maintain good health.

What is your most memorable moment? Watching people who come achieve their goals. I love seeing people get stronger, faster, and better so they can combat anything that comes their way.

If you could design a WOD…what would it be?
3 RFT: 20 AbMats, 10 MB Slams, 5 Burpees
3 RFT: 5 Pull Ups, 10 Wall Balls, 20 Air Squats

How has CrossFit changed your life? It’s made me stronger, faster, and tougher.

Do you have any advice for people interested or just starting at POFP? Don’t be intimidated. Start where you are and build from there. Always set goals and work to achieve them. NEVER GIVE UP!
